ELEGANT- Secure and Seamless Edge-to-Cloud Analytics (H2020 – 957286).
E2Data- European Extreme preforming Big Data stacks (H2020- 780245). E2Data proposes an end-to-end solution for Big Data deployments that fully exploits and advances the state-of-the-art in infrastructure services by delivering a performance increase of up to 10x for half the cloud resources.
TREDISEC - Trust-aware, REliable and Distributed Information SEcurity in the Cloud. TREDISEC is a European collaborative Research and Innovation Action that leverages existing or novel cryptographic protocols and system security mechanisms, which offer strong data confidentiality, integrity and availability guarantees while permitting efficient storage and data processing across multiple tenants. From a practical standpoint, the ambition of this project is to develop systems and techniques that make the cloud a secure and efficient place to store data. We plan to step away from a myriad of disconnected security protocols or cryptographic algorithms, and to converge instead on a (possibly standardized) single framework where all objectives are met to the highest extent possible.
ASAP - an Adaptable Scalable Analytics Platform. Project ASAP develops an open-source execution framework for scalable data analytics. ASAP assumes that no single execution model is suitable for all types of tasks and no single data model (and store) is suitable for all types of data. The project has four goals:
MoDisSENSE - Distributed Platform for Development of Social Media Services over Mobile Devices. This project aims to enrich social networking services by exploiting the continuous data flow from the daily use of mobile phones.
ARCOMEM-From Collect-All Archives to Community Memories - Leveraging the Wisdom of the Crowds for Intelligent Preservation, FP7-ICT-2009.4.1. The vision of the ARCOMEM project is to leverage the Wisdom of the Crowds for content appraisal, selection and preservation, so that archives reflect collective memory and social content perception.
GREDIA - Grid Enabled Access to Rich media Content (FP6-34363): The vision of the project is the creation of a reliable Grid application development platform with high level support for the design, implementation and operational deployment of secure Grid business applications and the development of a generic Grid middleware for accessing distributed, annotated content.
GreeD (GSRT, EHG-89) - The project's objective is the development of a system for the retrieval of heterogeneous content concerning the history and culture of Greek Diaspora. The project will develop a search engine, which will operate on a grid infrastructure based on Web Services technology. Searching will be supported by a meta-thesaurus, which will constitute a conceptual super-structure containing the concepts relevant to the providers' content, as well as the relations holding between them.
